Osteopathic trigger point therapy
Releasing tension and irritations in the muscles and tendons
Often, muscular pain can be felt as a local hardening in the muscle. These areas show swelling of the muscle tissue with an undersupply of oxygen for the muscle. Areas of muscle stiffness are often painful to pressure and are called trigger points.
We can release these tense areas by applying external pressure. To do so, we use different techniques or aids such as manual therapy, dry needling or shock wave therapy.
